ISTANBUL (Reuters) – Police detained an armed man who took staff hostage at a Procter & Gamble factory in northwestern Turkey on Thursday and rescued seven hostages, the local governor’s office said, ending an apparent protest against Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.
The governor’s office in Kocaeli province said the hostages were unharmed.
