Vince Thomas

IBN Financial Services Inc. announced Vince Thomas has joined the broker-dealer as a financial adviser with VGT Enterprises Inc. Most recently, Thomas was managing director for Allen C. Ewing & Co. from 2011 to 2024.

After selling his private business in 1998, Thomas started his investment banking career with Davenport & Company and has held executive positions in the investment banking financial institutions groups of Merion Capital Group from 2011 to 2013, McKinnon & Company from 2010 to 2011, and Griffin Financial Group from 2008 to 2010.

Thomas spent much of his early career raising equity and debt capital for community banks, financial institutions, and private real estate companies. Over time, his practice has migrated to focus on tax-advantaged strategies for real estate investors and high-net-worth families. Thomas has raised over $250 million from clients for both equity and debt raises.

When discussing why he chose to join IBN, Thomas mentioned, “the firm’s investment platform provides access to multiple strategies and offerings to help my clients achieve their financial goals. IBN’s relationships with Delaware statutory trust and qualified opportunity zone sponsors enhance the solutions available for my clients to defer and mitigate tax liabilities.”

IBN Financial Services’ Rick Carlesco, chief executive officer and founder, noted how the firm’s geographic footprint has expanded in the past 25 years. “With Vince aboard, IBN has a presence in almost every state from Massachusetts to Florida.” Carlesco also noted the firm’s size, with 75 registered representatives, as attractive to registered representatives looking to join a broker-dealer.

“IBN is uniquely qualified to bring advisors and investors the best that the financial marketplace offers,” added Carlesco.

Launched in 1995, IBN currently has 75 registered representatives. Its alternative investments focus includes Regulation D, such as Delaware statutory trusts, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, and qualified opportunity zones; non-traded real estate investment trusts, Regulation A+ offerings, interval funds, and non-traded preferred stocks.

Thomas is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
