Limited Edition Print of Ozzy Osbourne Artwork Goes On Sale To Benefit Charities

British artist and designer Mason Newman is selling prints of an artwork gifted to the late Ozzy Osbourne, just before the death of the Black Sabbath vocalist, to benefit three charities.

Newman’s Prince of Darkness was presented to Osbourne and his wife Sharon before the Villa Park farewell show in Birmingham, UK on July 5.

On October 2, Newman and the independent art gallery Indelible Fine Art released a limited-edition silkscreen print of the oil painting to support Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Acorns Hospice and Cure Parkinson’s, in accordance with the Osbourne family’s wishes.

The 27.5″ x 34″ prints feature goldleaf detail, are limited to an edition of 76, and are priced at £850 (approximately $1,150 USD).

“Ozzy was a global superstar but he never forgot his Birmingham roots,” Newman said in a press statement. “Everyone who knew him was touched by his generosity and huge heart. This was the very last piece of art he commissioned, so it’s a fitting tribute that these prints will keep on giving to local people and others in need around the UK too.”

Newman also designed merchandise for the iconic metal band, which reunited for the first time in 20 years for Osbourne’s final performance.

Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2019.

The charity print sale also coincided with the air date of two documentaries about Osbourne and his family: Coming Home on BBC on October 2, and No Escape from Now on Paramount+ on October 7.
