Taiwan stocks higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 1.34% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the gained 1.34%.

The best performers of the session on the were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 0.95 points to trade at 10.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Epileds Technologies Inc (TW:) added 9.96% or 3.40 points to end at 37.55 and Kaori Heat Treatment Co Ltd (TW:) was up 9.95% or 31.00 points to 342.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were HiTi Digital Inc (TW:), which fell 55.00% or 9.63 points to trade at 7.88 at the close. Logah Technology Corp (TW:) declined 9.95% or 1.04 points to end at 9.41 and Lead Data Inc (TW:) was down 9.85% or 0.39 points to 3.57.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:) rose to 3-years highs; rising 10.00% or 0.95 to 10.45. Shares in Logah Technology Corp (TW:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 9.95% or 1.04 to 9.41.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.06% or 0.04 to $69.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.11% or 0.08 to hit $73.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 7.95 to trade at $2,638.95 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.36% to 32.49, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.31% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 106.22.
