The sector has responded to new regulations, a plethora of different strategies and specialist platforms have been launched, with much more to come, while asset managers have been rapidly boosting their resources and distribution capabilities, particularly in the institutional space.
A slower moving part has been the adoption of private markets by UK wealth firms, which is not surprising considering we are still in the early stages of product development for this segment, as well as the timescales required to build the right internal and external operational support.
