Influential art world figure Joe Hage moves from the shadows to take top billing – The Art Newspaper

One of the art world’s most enigmatic figures, Joe Hage, is upping his profile. In March, Hage was thrust into the spotlight when the UK artist Damien Hirst mentioned him on the podcast Waldy and Bendy’s Adventures in Art. Asked about the most influential person he has ever met, Hirst said: “Joe Hage, my manager. He’s [Gerhard] Richter’s manager, he manages the [Francis] Bacon estate, he manages Peter Doig. He’s very quiet, lives in the shadows.”

Now the business bigwig and founder of Heni art services is very publicly backing a major Barbara Hepworth show opening at the Courtauld Gallery in London, titled The Joseph Hage Aaronson & Bremen Exhibition: Hepworth in Colour (12 June-6 September). A statement points out that Joseph Hage Aaronson & Bremen LLP (JHAB) is an “elite dispute resolution and advisory law firm based in London” that provides “comprehensive solutions to complex legal challenges.“ And provides the bulk of the exhibition title…
